IDW’s run of the Sonic The Hedgehog comics is nearing its 5th year. To celebrate; IDW will reissue the first issue with new covers, a new story, a cover gallery, and behind-the-scenes looks at how the comics are made.
The new bonus story titled ‘Familiar Territory’ will appear in this issue, written by Ian Flynn, and illustrated by Tracy Yardley.
The primary cover features a foldout cover that compiles all four of the primary covers for the first four issues by Tyson Hesse. The rest of the covers will be illustrated by various artists from the series, with additional retailer incentive covers.
Sonic the Hedgehog: Fifth Anniversary Edition is slated to release in April 2023, starting at $7.99 USD.
