Metallic Madness 2023: agreements for the Community Division and Draft

The following rules are the terms and conditions we (the Tournament Organizers) have with you (the Candidate, or otherwise our followers) to administrate the Community division of the 2023 Metallic Madness Community Tournament, and the Community Draft.

Eligibility

To be eligible to enter the Community Tournament: you (the candidate) must be a legal resident of, and the age of majority in, the country you reside in; be the sole owner of all interests submitted in connect with the Community Tournament; and have a valid public Twitter, YouTube, or Twitch account at the time of entry.

Candidates of the Community Draft must meet the minimum notability requirements of the platform they choose to represent themselves. A minimum following must be present on one of the selected platforms: 30,000 on YouTube, or 25,000 on Twitter, or 4,000 on Twitch.

The following are not eligible to enter the Community Tournament: Team members of Tails’ Channel, its parent, affiliates, and subsidiaries; related promotional agencies; and any real-life individual or group that has won the original incarnation of the Community Tournament between 2016 to 2020.

In a circumstance that we deem necessary to conduct the tournament procedures and the Community Draft, we reserve the right to ask for proof of identity (so we’re talking to the right person) and/or eligibility to participate in the Community Tournament and Draft (like, minimum notability).

All information requested and supplied to us must be truthful and in no way misleading. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to disqualify or bar any entrant at any stage of the procedure. Failure to provide information that does not meet the criteria may result in disqualification.

Entry periods

The entry period for the Community Draft starts on Saturday 11 March 2023 at 8:00 am ET and ends on Monday 13 March 2023 at 9:00 pm ET, or as otherwise announced by the Tournament Organizers on TailsChannel.com and MetalMadTour on Twitter. After the designated time has passed, the entry period will close and no other entries will be accepted.

How to enter

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Community Tournament and Draft. To enter the Community Draft, the interested applicant must directly message the Tournament Organizers to request a Special Nomination Form. The Form can be requested only once and at any time inclusive of the outlined dates. At an appropriate time, the Organizers will reply with a link to the Form, a password, and a six-digit authentication passcode. The Form will hosted and administrated on Google Forms.

There is a limit of one nomination per candidate in the Community Draft, unless otherwise indicated. In the case of multiple entries, we will count the first submission, and the rest are void.

Submissions must be received prior to the nomination deadline. It will be declared invalid if they are late, illegible, incomplete, or reproduced. We will not communicate with you for any other matter.

Each candidate agrees that the Tournament Organizers will use the submitted information strictly for the operational and technical procedure of the Tournament, and only between the Tournament Organizers, unless specified otherwise. You agree that the information you supply to us is not libelous, defamatory, or obscene; that you own and control the mentioned interests; and it does not infringe on the interests of others.

Submissions received to us must be from the authorized, associated accountholder. We typically define this as the person assigned to the account by the individual(s) responsible for the account. If necessary, the candidate may be required to provide the Tournament Organizers with proof that the nomination was sent by the authorized, associated accountholder.

Prize

There is no monetary prize ($0.000 USD) associated to the nominees of the Community Draft, or the winner of any element of the Metallic Madness Community Tournament.

The winner and/or nominees of any zone of the Metallic Madness Community Tournament will be announced in public by the Tournament Organizers. It cannot be transferred, substituted, or redeemed for cash or objective bragging rights.

In order for the Tournament Organizers to practically conduct the Tournament procedures, the winners and/or nominees grant us the unrestricted right to use their name, likeness, comments in connection to the procedures; and release us from any liability for any damages or expenses out of participating of the Tournament.

Selection

Following the end of the entry period, the Tournament Organizers will enter all candidates that met the minimum criteria to the Community Draft. On Wednesday 15 March 2023, we will select four nominees by random draw from all eligible nominations in the Community Draft, unless noted otherwise. The odds of being drafted are dependant upon the number of eligible nominations. The remaining entries will not be transferred to the next installment of the Community Tournament.

If there is an error relating to the Community Draft, the Tournament Organizers will assess the situation and promptly announce a correction. If the correction does not satisfy the Tournament Organizers, they can choose to amend the Community Draft.

The selection of the Community division entrants are upon the discretion of the Tournament Organizers. Entrants are selected in the subjective opinion of notability, particularly with a combined social media and website presence, and an established objective of good will towards the Sonic the Hedgehog online community.

Conduct

By participating in the Tournament, each entrant agrees to be bound by the policies set forth by the Tournament Organizers. We receive the right to disqualify any entrant, candidate, or nominee found to be violating our policy; tampering or attempting to tamper with the procedures; and acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse or threaten any other person or group immediately before, during, and after the Tournament.

Delimiter

The Metallic Madness Community Tournament is in no way sponsored or endorsed by SEGA Corporation, the National Collegiate Athletics Association, or any social media platforms used by the Tournament. Any questions or comments must be directed to Tails’ Channel Communications.
