Colleen O’Shaughnessey says she “isn’t finished” voicing Miles “Tails” Prower

The American voice actress provides a bit of clarity regarding her voice-over role as Miles “Tails” Prower.

Despite widespread community speculation that claimed voice actress Colleen O’Shaughnessey will not reprise her franchise voice-over role as Miles “Tails” Prower, the voice actress hinted Friday afternoon that she will retain her position.

In a reply to a user on Twitter, O’Shaughnessey said that she and Tails “aren’t finished”, and effectively hinted that she will continue voicing Sonic’s sidekick.

Rumours of O’Shaughnessey’s future as the voice of Tails made rounds on social media after she confirmed that she will not reprise her role in the upcoming “Sonic Prime” animation, in addition to the sudden departures of Roger Craig Smith and Cindy Robinson from their respective roles as Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose.

O’Shaughnessey is now the second known performer who hinted or confirmed to reprise their roles in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Long-time Eggman voicer Mike Pollock confirmed earlier this month that he will retain his position.

O’Shaughnessey began voicing Tails in 2014, starting with Sonic Boom. She also voiced Tails in last year’s Sonic film. It was not confirmed if she will reprise her role in the 2022 sequel.
