JAKKS Pacific confirmed Wednesday morning that it will be producing merchandise related to the upcoming movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
The producer will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 branded toy product lines. Action figures, playsets, vehicles, plush toys and other collectibles are to be expected.
Disguise, the costume division of JAKKS Pacific, has also been confirmed to be involved with costumes and accessories inspired by characters from the sequel to the highly successful 2020 Sonic movie.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is sure to be a runaway hit in 2022. Given the success of the first movie and performance of our current Sonic the Hedgehog product line, we are excited to continue to develop toys that follow along with Sonic’s next great movie adventure

JAKKS Pacific has been the global partner for Sonic the Hedgehog toys since 2019, that also has been confirmed to produce Sonic toys that’ll be released in 2021, the same year that the series makes its’ 30th anniversary.
JAKKS also has made merchandise related to the first Sonic movie, but most of it ended being scrapped due to the redesign that was done for Sonic after backlash from fans.
