Sonic the Hedgehog’s transformation in Sonic and the Black Knight, Excalibur Sonic, will make an appearance in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle, SEGA HARDlight announced Sunday afternoon.
The transformation will be featured in a in-game event named “Knight of the Wind”. Players can complete missions to gain special Excalbur Sonic cards, and more. A release date is yet to be announced.
Complete Missions during the “Knight of the Wind” event to gain even more Special cards for Excalibur Sonic.
You will find Gold Rings in Battle chests for the WHOLE of the ‘Knight of the Wind’ event.
Later during this event, your Rivals are feeling generous and will drop Gold Rings on the track when taking damage.
SEGA HARDlight
In addition, HARDlight will be giving away 25 special Excalibur Sonic cards for free within Speed Battle. The cards can be collected between 25 August to 29 August, and again on 30 August to 2 September.
SEGA HARDlight has a history of adding characters and features long considered to be atypical in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. This past summer, IDW duo Tangle the Lemur and Whisper the Wolf made their first-ever video game appearance in Speed Battle, and Knuckles’ “cowboy hat” from the 1996 film made its comeback.
