SEGA acknowledges Sonic quality issues

The troubled development of Sonic games were addressed by SEGA’s Aaron Webber.

On the latest Sonic Official stream, the first one to happen following a hiatus, SEGA social media manager Aaron Webber acknowledged the issues surrounding the development of the last few Sonic games.

He explained that the games will no longer have annual releases, a decision that SEGA decided on a couple of years ago.

“There are a number of times that because of that rushed production schedule, the quality of the games wouldn’t be quite where they needed to be. And so, a couple of years ago we actually said, ‘Hey, that’s gonna change, we’re gonna put more time into things.’ And that’s gonna mean that you have to wait longer between trailers and announcements and stuff like that, and we know that’s kinda annoying sometimes.

Webber said that they’re “really excited for what’s to come, but they can’t say anything.” They thank everyone for their patience.
