Sonic adjusted in new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate patch

The speedy hedgehog has been buffed in the latest patch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Nintendo has released the update notes for version 9.0 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The new update will add new fighters and stages from the recently announced Minecraft DLC, as well as a slew of adjustments.

Sonic the Hedgehog was among the characters adjusted in the new version.

Dash Attack• Maintained the launch distance and increased power.
• Reduced vulnerability.
Up Tilt Attack• Reduced vulnerability.
Up Smash Attack• Increased attack speed.
• Increased the amount of time invincibility lasts before and after becoming round.
• Made it easier to hit multiple times.
Up Air Attack• Made it easier to hit multiple times.

The online aspect of Ultimate has also seen adjustments.

The controls during combat in battle arenas while spectators are present have been adjusted. Adjustments have been made to the way Global Smash Power is calculated.

Meanwhile, a number of Sonic players expressed excitement over the new adjustments. Twitter user Aeyga-X, who was one of the first users to tweet the Japanese patch notes, was happy to see the results.

The new Ultimate patch is currently live as of 13 October.
