SEGA today officially announced that Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails’ Prower will be featured in Super Monkey Ball‘s upcoming title, Banana Mania.
Players can “roll through” in more than 300 levels with the two characters for free and at launch.
The addition was in commemoration of the hedgehog’s 30th anniversary, as well as Super Monkey Ball‘s 20th anniversary, and this is the first time that Tails will be a playable character in a Super Monkey Ball title.
Sonic and Tails join an all-star cast in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania that includes Beat from Jet Set Radio along with additional yet-to-be-revealed guest stars.

The news came after a leak on their official website that seemingly highlighted the iconic duo.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania will be released 5 October 2021.
