New Sonic 3 cast member Alyla Browne announced that she will play the role of Maria Robotnik in the third Sonic the Hedgehog film.
Browne posed behind a black production jacket in an image uploaded to Instagram early Friday. Many fans interpreted it as a “body bag” to imply Maria’s death scene.
The confirmation gave a better picture about the casting for Sonic 3, which was planned to adapt elements from both the Shadow the Hedgehog spin-off video game, and Sonic Adventure 2.
Earlier this week, it was speculated that Krysten Ritter may play a human character named Captain Rockwell, contrary to initial community speculation that she may play Rouge the Bat.
