Developer Jupiter officially announced the release date and price point for Picross S: Genesis & Master System Edition, an upcoming puzzle game that will feature Sonic the Hedgehog and SEGA franchises.
Also known as Picross S: Mega Drive & Mark III Edition, the title is scheduled to be released on 5 August for $9.99 USD on the Nintendo Switch’s official storefront, the developer confirmed on the official website.
Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic the Hedgehog CD are all expected to be featured in the upcoming game.
Select characters have been chosen to debut as Picross puzzles from Sega’s classic consoles, the Master System and Sega Genesis! Enjoy drawing nostalgic pixel art characters while solving Picross puzzles!

The title will feature four game modes from the Picross S series: Picross, Mega Picross, Color Picross, and Clip Picross, with a total of 480 puzzles.
Originally unveiled in June 2020, Picross S: Genesis & Master System Edition is the latest addition to Picross’ collection of branded titles.
