Fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise will get a treat from IDW Publishing next year as they intend to commemorate the upcoming sequel with a new comic book collection and miniseries.
The Official Movie Sequel “Pre-quill”
The four-issue miniseries, named Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The Official Movie Pre-quill, will explore the hedgehog’s whereabouts following the first film.

Sonic & Tails: Best Buds Forever
The long-time friendship between Sonic and Tails will also be celebrated in a special main series collection by IDW Publishing, named Sonic & Tails: Best Buds Forever.
“Can’t wait to see the best friends ever meet on the big screen? Get ready by reading their greatest adventures in this must-have comic collection,” said IDW Publishing in a official solicitation obtained by Tails’ Channel.

A paperback collection of the prequel miniseries will be released on 5 April 2022, while the main series collection will be released 22 February 2022. Both dates are subject to change.
