Paramount Pictures’ 2020 film Sonic the Hedgehog has been nominated “Family Movie of 2020” in E!’s People’s Choice Awards.
Sonic the Hedgehog will be competing against Dolittle, My Spy, Onward, Scoob!, The Call of the Wild, The Willoughbys and Trolls World Tour.
The People’s Choice Awards is an annual event produced by E! that aims to “celebrate the year’s best in movies, TV, music, and pop culture.” Now in its 46th edition, online users from all over the world can vote to determine the results.
Fans can vote for their favorite movie from 1 October to 23 October on Twitter and the official website. Up to 25 votes can be cast to a nomination.
This is the Sonic‘s first nomination of this category. As one of the final theatrical releases prior to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, the film has been sarcastically teased by movie-goers and media to win exuberant accolades.
The People’s Choice Awards will air Sunday 15 November at 9:00 PM Eastern on E!.
