Brazilian filmmaker João Filipe Santiago published a trailer for the Project Shadow fan-film to YouTube, being met with hype and awe from Brazilian and English-speaking Sonic fans alike.
The short film is available on João’s YouTube channel, available in both English and Brazilian Portuguese.
It tells the backstory of Shadow the Hedgehog, 50 years ago on Space Colony ARK.
The short film, amassing 200 thousand views within days of upload, earned awe and acclaim from fans and even Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s writer Pat Casey, as seen in a post on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.
