A substantial number of storyboards for Paramount Pictures’ upcoming live-action film, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and the online-exclusive Knuckles the Echidna mini-series for Paramount Plus, were leaked on the internet late Thursday.
An unprecedented total of 906 pages from three portable documents were uncovered and re-shared on social media platforms like Reddit, Discord, and X, the site formerly known as Twitter. The vast majority of the re-shares were taken down by unattributed copyright notices, which seemed to imply a form of verification to some fans.
The leak detailed entire spoiler-heavy scenes that featured characters officially announced to appear in both projects, including Shadow the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna.
Tails’ Channel elected not to disclose any descriptions due to security concerns, as well as an individual’s identity linked to the storyboards. They have yet to reply to a request for comment.
The rumour sparked significant speculation and discussion within the Sonic community on social media, as they await more information about the two Sonic movie projects.
