Fans can expect more than 81 total entries in this year’s Sonic Hacking Contest according to a press release issued by event organizers today, which included a list of entries, an official trailer, and a livestreaming schedule.
Contest entries
The Hacking Contest portion will have a total of 41 entries. Entries submitted to the Contest are evaluated by judges, and will have the chance to win trophies in various categories if they receive enough votes from the community.

Event organizers also unveiled the official livestream schedule for the 2021 event. Tails’ Channel host Evan Tingle will showcase a number of fan hacks and mods on 16 October at 10:00 am ET.

In addition to the official trailer, a new deadline for developers to book a stream was dated – 8 October. Plus, the traditional “Results Show” programme, a long-time staple to the Contest Week, will not be televised this year in favour of written results publicized by the media, including by Tails’ Channel.
The Hacking Contest will run between 11 through 17 October, and Tails’ Channel will provide coverage.
